  44. My Machine is an A2000 with a 33Mhz 040. Your Statement (D.Corn) concerning
  45. the need for an 060/50 to equal a 6100/60 is a littli bit off. Speedometer
  46. 4.0 results follow.

  55. My lowly 10 year old machine is faster in almost all catagories than a
  56. 6100/60
  57. in Emulation mode, my graphics are about 50% lower in 8/16 bit mode. Most
  58. software will be 68K/PPC for some time (over 60% of the installed Mac base
  59. are still 68K machines). Granted my system is a bit dated my Mac Emulator
  60. is only running Mac OS7.5.2. So I'm a little behind.:).For the vast
  61. majority of HOME applications this speed is good enough.
  62. Doom/DoomII/Marathon/MarathonII/XWing/Rebel Assault run pretty well.I
  63. Imagine when I get a PPC 604 for my A3000 those speeds will increase at
  64. least a little bit. By the way, I do run Word/Excel/ and a couple of
  65. microwave design packages without much trouble. Cut us a little slack will
  66. you? Lets see what Escom/AT are doing this time next year. Maybe Mac OS
  67. 8.0.X and Windows 95/96/97 will be out by then.:) See ya later.
